Today, I hit 100 pages on book 1 of my series. I proceeded to mentally skip around the room joyfully proclaiming how dedicated I am to writing, all along physically sipping my Coca-Cola 2 liter while watching animal planet ocean episodes. I was considering how long it took me to write those 100 pages when I realized that I nearly spent 100 days writing 100 pages. I started the book back in mid-October (the 24th) and just hit that 100 page mark today. That's nearly 100 pages in 100 days!
Despite how ironic that is, I can't help but feel a sinking sensation in my gut. It took me 100 days to write 100 pages. That's 1 page per day.
So after today, I think I should really get myself inspired to finish this book by the time this semester finishes up. That means 3 months to finish this project and move on to book 2. On the bright side, I found myself totally intrigued with how well I went about describing things in my latest chapter.
Now though, I must hurry off to bed so I can dream about that entire planet earth episode I watched about killer whales.
