I think if I wait much longer to get a puppy or kitten (preferable a puppy) I could very well explode. I feel like I've been holding my breath for almost two years now and that I need to just shout out that is time for Bekah to get herself a faithful, cheerful companion and she doesn't mean a husband!

I got a dog right out of college. She was beautiful. Unfortunately, I had neglected to consider how rife with transition is the life of a 20-something. Moving three states away, moving six times in two years ... it wasn't good for Lilo. Her behavior and training was suffering. I knew if I didn't give her a more stable life she would turn into an adult dog no one could stand.
ReplyDeleteShe's now with a much more stable friend from college and is turning into such a well-behaved beauty. It still breaks my heart. BUT I will have a dog someday. When I know my life isn't going to change every six months :D
